Standard Rose ‘The Golden Child’ (Wekjanjuc) produces large, bright yellow blooms in generous clusters, creating a cheerful display above the clear standard stem. The vibrant flowers are complemented by healthy mid-green foliage and a pleasing moderate fragrance.

Its clear yellow colouring makes it an excellent feature rose, bringing warmth and brightness to garden beds, entrances and large decorative pots. Planted individually or repeated along a pathway, ‘The Golden Child’ provides plenty of colour throughout the flowering season.

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Water deeply while establishing and during extended dry periods.
Feed established roses in late August and again after the main flowering flushes.
Mulch in spring and deadhead regularly to encourage continued flowering.
Prune the rose head in July, or August in colder and frost-prone areas, and remove any shoots growing from below the graft.
Stake securely and check ties as the plant grows.
