Tristaniopsis Laurina Luscious - 33cm Pot

Tristaniopsis is an attractive Australian native evergreen tree with glossy, dark green foliage and colourful red-toned new growth. During January and early February, clusters of yellow flowers appear, adding summer colour along with a pleasant sweet fragrance.

The trunk becomes another feature as the tree matures, developing striking port-coloured bark that peels away to reveal a mottled cream stem beneath. Combined with its glossy foliage, this gives the tree plenty of ornamental interest even when it is not flowering.

Growing into a small to medium-sized tree, it works particularly well as a feature specimen or planted in repeated rows. It can also be clipped and shaped where a more structured appearance is wanted.

Mature size: approximately 7 metres high × 4 metres wide

Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun to part shade in fertile, well-drained soil.
Tristaniopsis performs best with consistent moisture, particularly during establishment, although established trees will tolerate some dry periods.
Prune as required to maintain shape and remove damaged growth.
Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring if growth lacks vigour and mulch annually to help maintain soil moisture.
