Description
Upright Cherry Mt Fuji Tall.
A vigorous, strongly spreading tree with a spectacular, very early floral display. A popular tree in small gardens where lateral space is adequate and tough enough for use in streets and other public open space plantings.
Sakura (さくら | 桜) is considered the national flower of Japan, and it is no surprise why. Mid-green leaves with an extended tip and a distinctive finely serrated margin. Turning attractive yellow to bronzy reddish and orange in autumn. The new growth is pale green.
Care
- Plant in well-draining soil in a full sun position.
- Fertilise when planting and again when new growth appears.
- Best planted in its dormancy during winter to prevent root stress.
