Japanese Maple - Acer Palmatum Shindeshojo.
The Japanese Maple's autumn foliage is breathtaking! It starts off reddish-green during the summer, but as fall creeps in, it transforms into warmer shades of red and orange. Even the new growth is a striking crimson hue! This particular variety is perfect for small gardens and can serve as a stunning feature tree, no matter the size of the landscape. It does grow slowly though. During spring, 'Shin Deshojo' boasts the most vibrant and brilliant foliage out of over 400 Japanese maple cultivars. Some even describe the leaf color as resembling a "fire-engine red".
It prefers cool, deep, moisture-retentive soil in a sheltered site. Can position in full sun to part shade. Different light conditions will affect the colouring of the leaf.
