Bush Rose Sophy's Rose.
(Auslot) English Shrub Rose.
Bears crimson-pink, rosette-shaped flowers; the petals are small at the centre and increase in size, by degrees, until the outer petals are quite large, resulting in broad, rather flat blooms. It forms an upright, bushy shrub with compact, twiggy growth. The beautiful elongated foliage gives the overall impression of airy lightness.
Named after the daughter of the founder of the Dyslexia Institute. David Austin, 1997.
David Austin English roses combine the charming forms and fragrances of old roses with the repeat-flowering nature of modern roses.
Water immediately after planting. Water well until established, particularly during periods of extended heat.
Plant in Full Sun.
Remove spent blooms. Prune back by one-third in winter, removing old and damaged wood. Shorten stems to a healthy bud to promote strong growth.
Fertilise every Late winter to the end of autumn every 3-4 months. We recommend Harry's Rose Food.
