Cherry Tree Morello.
Botanical Name: Prunus avium Morello.
This is a sour Cherry with small to medium rounded fruit, dark red skin and red flesh, with a very tart taste. A very popular variety within European cooking and also used in winemaking. Producing moderate crops. Suitable for cooler climates. Self-pollinating.
Plant in a warm, protected area in well-drained soil.
Best planted in winter during dormancy. Make sure you plant the bud union above the soil.
Water in well and keep moist until established.
Fertilise when planting and again when new growth appears. prune when planting.
