Hydrangea Purple Lace Cap.
The ‘Lacecap’ varieties are exquisite, with blooms arranged in a disk shape. Small flowers sit at the centre, surrounded by larger, showier ones on the outer edge, creating a stunning display throughout the summer. Hydrangeas are one of the classic flowering shrubs of summer. These deciduous shrubs dazzle with large ball-shaped flowers in summer. Perfect for formal or cottage gardens though can work wonderfully in many garden styles. Great in the ground or in containers. Hydrangeas are well suited to grow next to other traditional favourites such as Camellias, Magnolias and Azaleas.
Best in a moist position sheltered from the hot sun and wind.
Pink hydrangeas will retain their colour in more alkaline soil. A twice-yearly application of lime with help ensure this.
Prune after flowering to encourage new growth and a neat habit.
In ideal conditions, it can grow to H1-2 x W1.5m
