Description
Cherry Tree Stella.
Botanical Name: Prunus avium Stella.
The large heart-shaped dark red fruit with firm sweet and juicy flesh has a good flavour. A very popular variety for the home garden with its good cropping abilities. Self Pollinating, and is also known as a universal pollinator for other cherries. Upright-growing tree, suitable to grow in cooler climates.
Care
Plant in a warm, protected area in well-drained soil.
Best planted in winter during dormancy. Make sure you plant the bud union above the soil.
Water in well and keep moist until established.
Fertilise when planting and again when new growth appears. prune when planting.
