Magnolia 'Genie' is an incredibly compact small tree, with stunning deep burgundy blooms. Famed for its spectacular flowers which adorn the plant in late winter and early spring and again in autumn. The deep-coloured buds are striking in themselves and once they open to the goblet-shaped blooms you will experience 'Genie's' true magic for yourself. The perfect choice for smaller gardens as it is a true compact variety. Combined with its hardy nature and low maintenance requirements it is sure to win over your garden. Magnolias prefer moist, fertile and well-drained soil that is slightly acidic.
An annual application of good quality fertiliser in spring, and mulching and watering during the drier months especially when the plant is establishing itself
