Orange Winter Sunrise.
The Winter Sunrise orange matures in May - June, the very first of the oranges to ripen. The flavour is fragrantly “orange”, warm, sweet and autumn sunshine. Although a delicious eating orange, Winter Sunrise is considered a “juicing” orange. Growing to a max of 3-4m it's perfectly suited to smaller gardens, an integral component to the orchard and a fabulous performer in pots and containers.
Care
• Plant in a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil
• Water regularly during dry periods, especially when fruiting
• Fertilise with a citrus-specific fertiliser in spring and late summer
• Prune in late winter to maintain shape and remove dead or crossing branches
• Protect young trees from frost; established trees tolerate light frosts
• Mulch to retain moisture, keeping mulch away from the trunk
