Peony Rosedale.
Botanical Name: Paeonia hybird.
A ravishing red, early flowering semi double to double variety with good vigour. Like its namesake suggests, it is quite rose like in form. It has a soft fragrance. Bear in mind, you will have to be patient to enjoy the flowers of Herbaceous Peonies as they need a little time to establish their roots – they have big blooms to fuel. But the wait will be justified for many years to come as they are extremely long lived.
Plant in full sun to semi shade in well-drained and well-worked soil.
Herbaceous peonies need cold weather over winter to aid in floral growth during spring.
It can grow to H1.2m.
