Raspberry Heritage.
Botanical Name: Rubus idaeus.
The Raspberry is easily grown in the home garden, its arching canes are covered with delicious fruit that are produced in autumn on canes grown that summer. Raspberries are packed with nutrients and in particular, they are high in Vitamin C and Manganese. Their subtle tart taste and melt-in-the-mouth texture make them ideal for eating fresh or for use in pies, desserts, cakes and muffins. Heritage is an autumn fruiting variety producing small to medium attractive firm berries, with a good flavour. Heritage will begin fruiting in February and will continue to produce over a 3-month period.
This deciduous shrub prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in acidic, moist, well-drained soil.
Mulch well to conserve soil moisture and prune to remove smaller, weaker branches and to open up the plant.
Mature Size: H2 x W1.5m.
