DESCRIPTION

Lilac Oliver De Serres.

Botanical Name: Syringa vulgaris 'Oliver de Serres'.

An unusual, striking variety of lilac with large heads of reddish-purple flowers with each petal boldly rimmed in white. These sweetly scented flowers are produced in spring and make a lovely display in the garden.

Approximate height: 60-70cm.

Plant in well-drained and well-worked soil.
Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level.
Water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is established.
Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears.
Prune to shape if necessary.
Water well during periods of extended dry heat.
In ideal conditions, it can grow H2-3 x W1-2m.
