DESCRIPTION

Magnolia Vulcan.

Botanical Name: Magnolia x soulangeana ‘Vulcan’.

Magnolia Vulcan has what may be the most flamboyant and vivid floral display. In late winter huge, 25cm, magenta-purple, tulip-shaped flowers sit on the bare branches. The flowers of Magnolia Vulcan are also sweetly perfumed and will stop everyone in their tracks. In spring large matte green leaves flush the branches which then turn to yellow in Autumn.

Approximate Height (Jun '23): 50-60cm.

Grows in a full sun position in well-draining soil.
Best planted Autumn to early Spring.
Mature Size: H6m x W4m.
