Magnolia Denudata.
One of the most popular deciduous magnolia species in cultivation, and certainly one of the most beautiful. It is frost hardy and will grow into an attractive spreading small tree and will look stunning when its ivory white flowers open in late Winter/ early Spring. Its flowers have a rich sweet perfume and really stand out against a blue sky. Magnolias will make a spectacular feature either planted as a single specimen or in a garden setting, and they blend beautifully with other Winter/Spring flowering plants like Azaleas, Camellias and Hellebores.
Water immediately after planting. Water well until established, particularly during periods of extended heat.
Plant in a Full Sun and sheltered position.
Pruning and shaping is best done after flowering.
