Maidenhair Fern.
Botanical Name: Adiantum fragrans.
With delicate long leaves in vibrant green, the Maidenhair Fern makes a very soft and elegant houseplant. The fern is used to growing in tropical regions on rocks around waterfalls, which means it likes a large amount of moisture. It likes its soil gently moist and humidity in the air - perfect for a bright bathroom where it can enjoy the regular steam. Because of its delicate nature and higher demands, we’d recommend this to more experienced growers. It’s not too difficult to care for, but it needs daily attention.
The plant pictured is just one example of our stock, each plant may vary slightly. We will always choose the happiest and healthiest specimen for you.
As with most ferns, this plant likes moist conditions. Water if the top inch of soil is dry. Mist regularly or position in a high humidity area such as a brightly, softly lit bathroom.
Best situated in a well-drained pot.
Fertilise during spring and summer with a liquid fertiliser for indoor plants.
