Lagerstroemia ‘Yuma’ is a free-flowering crepe myrtle that sits beautifully between a small tree and a large shrub, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of garden settings. Throughout summer and into early autumn, Yuma produces masses of large, cool-toned lavender-pink flowers with a soft, paper-like texture, creating an elegant and long-lasting floral display.
Naturally attractive in form, Yuma works particularly well as a feature tree in cottage-style gardens, where its abundant blooms and gentle colouring add charm and seasonal interest. When young, it can also be used for light screening, informal hedging or grown successfully in large pots before being planted out.
Adaptable and easy to grow, this variety provides strong ornamental value with minimal ongoing maintenance once established.
Care & Growing Tips
Plant in full sun for best flowering. Grow in well-drained soil and water regularly while establishing, then reduce as the plant settles. Prune as required to maintain shape and encourage healthy new growth. Seasonal feeding in spring supports strong flowering through summer.
Ideal for
– Feature trees in cottage gardens
– Light screening and informal hedges
– Large pots and containers when young
– Summer and early autumn flowering displays
– Gardens wanting soft, pastel colour
