Upright Cherry Shimidsu Sakura Tall.
Botanical Name: Prunus kiku shidare sakura Cheals.
This is an attractive feature tree with graceful spreading branches. In mid-spring large double blossoms, pink in bud and fading to white as they open, hang in clusters from the branches. Sakura (さくら) is considered the national flower of Japan, and it is no surprise why. Foliage is glossy green in summer, turning golden orange and red in autumn.
Plant in well-draining soil in a full sun position.
Fertilise when planting and again when new growth appears.
Best planted in its dormancy during winter to prevent root stress.
