Whitecurrant.
Botanical Name: Ribes rubrum.
A small deciduous ornamental shrub. Over summer it produces clusters of small white berries. White currants are slightly sweeter than red and black currants. The fruit is high in vitamins C, E and antioxidants. Clusters of fruit can be used in jams, jellies, sauces and juicing. Fruit can also be frozen for future use!
Plant in a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well-drained soil.
Mulch well to retain moisture.
Prune lightly as flowers appear towards the base of one-year-old growth and the spurs of older stems
Mature Size: H1 x W1.2m.
